The head of Minusinsk apologized for his subordinates who frightened the elderly with fines for littering in their polling stations

April 3 10:44

In the Minusinsk District, administration officials issued warnings to elderly residents and disabled people for uncleaned local areas. The head of the district, Dmitry Merkulov, apologized to the indignant citizens.

The county has announced a month of cleanup ahead of fire season. Residents were asked to remove tall, dry grass, debris and boards from their homes. Merkulov gave the command to intensify the work of the administrative commission, which has the right to issue warnings.

However, specialists went to villages and began handing papers to people on behalf of the heads of territorial divisions, who did not even know about it. Lonely elderly people and disabled people were hit. Some mistook the warnings for fines and got scared.

“I want to apologize to my fellow countrymen for my subordinates who do not think about people, for the thoughtless, bureaucratic actions of specialists. Recently I began to encounter the callousness and callous attitude of some employees of the administration and its divisions towards people. I will eradicate this attitude in the most severe manner. You can’t scare those who are already having a hard time,” Dmitry Merkulov wrote on his social networks.

He noted that cleanliness and order are mandatory, but if a person, due to age or health condition, cannot clean the yard, they will be helped by involving schoolchildren and youth.
