In Zheleznogorsk, the court sentenced the organizer of a financial pyramid, the victims of which were 86 people. This was reported to the regional prosecutor's office.
As the investigation established, in December 2011, a 38-year-old local resident registered a company and began microfinance activities. He actively attracted clients by promising high returns on investments. However, in fact, payments were made at the expense of new investors – according to the classic financial pyramid scheme.
Realizing that such a system could not work for long, the man continued to attract money. As a result, over several years, he stole more than 41 million rubles from clients.
