Filling of the roadbed for the Krasnoyarsk – Kuznetsovo – Zykovo highway has begun

3 April 13:58

Regional road workers have begun the main stage of reconstruction of the Krasnoyarsk – Kuznetsovo – Zykovo highway.

Last year, preparatory work was carried out on the site – clearing of trees, bushes and debris, reconstruction of existing power lines, communications, pressure sewerage and railway communications. Now experts are pouring the roadbed for the future route.

KrUDor reported that for further construction of the roadbed, from April 6, car traffic will be closed on the road to DNT Slavyanskoye and SNT Polyanka from the direction of Berezovka. A detour is possible from Zykovo.

A culvert system will also be installed this season. Next year they will lay asphalt concrete pavement, sidewalks, barriers, lighting and new bus stops.

“The route crosses the Trans-Siberian Railway and the closure of the railway crossing in the village of Zykovo leads to constant traffic jams, reducing capacity and making it difficult for emergency services and school buses to travel. During the reconstruction, road workers will install a two-lane bypass along the railway track, which will connect the Krasnoyarsk-Kuznetsovo-Zykovo and Berezovka-Magansk highways with a roundabout,” said Head of KrUDor Andrey Zhuravlev.

The total cost of the work is 1.1 billion rubles, the designer is Dorproekt LLC, the contractor is KraiDEO JSC. The entire route is scheduled to be completed in 2027.

Let us remind you that the Krasnoyarsk – Kuznetsovo – Zykovo highway is popular among summer residents; it passes through the villages of Kuznetsovo, Lukino and numerous gardening villages; the route plays an important role in ensuring transport accessibility for the population.

“MLocal residents ask us questions about the construction of an overpass across the railway tracks – this, as it seems at first glance, would be a more effective and correct solution. But when constructing an overpass, it is necessary to raise the level of the subgrade, arrange approaches and junctions with a length of at least half a kilometer on each side. This would entail the demolition of a significant number of households and a serious change in the appearance of the settlement. Therefore, a decision was made in favor of constructing a route parallel to the railway track, thereby relieving the crossing and giving a new impetus to the development of the village,” explained Andrey Zhuravlev.
