From April 6 to 16, Krasnoyarsk will host the next social campaign “Give me a paw, friend.” Concerned citizens are asked to bring food and necessary things for homeless dogs and cats. They will be sent to the “My Dog” shelter and the “Cotlandia” cat cafe, The mayor's office reported.

Volunteers from Labor detachment of the head of the city will accept:

  • food for dogs and cats: dry, wet, canned food, treats, as well as cereals (rice, rolled oats, buckwheat);
  • household goods: detergents and disinfectants, liquid soap;
  • cleaning equipment: garbage and construction bags, gloves, brooms, dustpans, rakes, shovels, metal and aluminum buckets and basins, sponges, brushes, rags, spatulas, wet wipes;
  • dishes and textiles: bowls, pots, basins, rugs, blankets, rugs, diapers, beds, bed linen;
  • care products and accessories for dogs: combs, collars, leashes, parasite medications, rubber toys;
  • care products and accessories for cats: fishing rod toys, safe models without small parts, plastic toys and scratching posts.

There is no need to bring raw meat, lard and bones – these products, without confirmation of storage conditions and expiration dates, can harm animals.

“This year we have taken a step further and expanded the campaign: if previously it was focused only on helping dog shelters, now we are also collecting support for cats. After requests from citizens, we increased the opening hours of collection points so that everyone could have time to visit them after the end of the working day,” told Head of the Labor Detachment Roman Vitenko.

Detailed information about the promotion can be found by phone 218-01-21 and in project public.
