German Far-Right AfD Leaders Reelected Amid Massive Protests

The leaders of the German far-right party Alternative for Germany (AfD) were reelected on Saturday in Erfurt, eastern Germany, despite the presence of tens of thousands of anti-fascist protesters who attempted to block access to the party’s congress. Reports from France Presse and Agerpres indicate that party delegates re-elected co-leaders Alice Weidel and Tino Chrupalla during the contentious event.
