The secret of cupcakes in a mug in 5 minutes: soft, flavorful, without flour and sugar – the perfect breakfast

When you don't have time in the morning, but want something warm and homemade, these cupcakes in a mug save the situation. They are prepared in a few minutes, do not require an oven, and most importantly, they do not contain refined sugar or wheat flour. The taste is soft, slightly sweet, with notes of cinnamon and banana.

What you need:

Long-cooked oat flakes – 4 tbsp. spoons
Ripe banana – half a piece
Milk – 3-4 tbsp. spoons
Egg – 1 pc.
Cinnamon – a pinch
Baking powder – a quarter teaspoon
Optional: a handful of berries, a slice of apple or a teaspoon of honey

How to cook:

  • Mash the banana with a fork until pureed.
  • Add egg, milk, cinnamon and baking powder.
  • Mix well.
  • Pour in the oatmeal and leave for 2 minutes until it swells a little. The dough should be thick, but not dense.
  • Place the mixture in a large mug or ceramic cup.
  • If you like, add berries or pieces of fruit on top.
  • Microwave on full power for 1 minute 30 seconds – 2 minutes.
  • Check doneness with a toothpick: if it comes out dry, the cake is ready.
  • Let stand for 1-2 minutes. It will become even softer.

You can eat this cake right away, add yogurt, or just drink it with tea.
