PLN 469 million of profit of Poczta Polska. Business success or the effect of a state drip?

The net result of Poczta Polska for 2025 amounted to PLN 469 million compared to a PLN 213 million loss in 2024, postal representatives announced on Thursday. The company's sales revenues exceeded PLN 6.8 billion, growing by 1%. year to year.

As reported during Thursday's press conference, the improvement in the net result is primarily the result of two subsidies received by Poczta Polska for financing the net cost of providing universal services for 2023 and 2024. The net result of the Poczta Polska Capital Group was higher and amounted to PLN 680 million, which was influenced – apart from the result of Poczta Polska itself – by the profit of Bank Pocztowy (PLN 206 million).

Last year – as reported – employment at Poczta Polska decreased by approx. 8.5 thousand. full-time positions, and the average salary in the company increased by 11.6%, i.e. by over PLN 650 gross to PLN 6,250 per month.

From the beginning of 2024 to February 2026, the state postal operator received a total of over PLN 2 billion in compensation for the provision of universal services in 2021-2024. The Ministry of State Assets also paid Poczta Polska aid in the years 2024-2025 in the amount of nearly PLN 2 million to remove the effects of the flood of September 2024. Additionally, in 2025, the company received over PLN 85 million as a reduction in investment costs related to the implementation of the public e-Delivery service. (PAP)
