In Krasnoyarsk, four members of a criminal group will appear in court, accused of selling “construction kits” under the guise of entire cars. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region.
It was established that a resident of Krasnoyarsk organized a criminal group from 2020 to 2023, which included three of his acquaintances. The attackers planned to engage in the illegal sale of automobile spare parts and assemblies under the guise of vehicles imported into Russia.
To do this, they rented premises on the street. Svetlogorskaya, where they organized a car showroom. Then, through an acquaintance who was not aware of the group’s plans, the men brought four cars to Krasnoyarsk – a Honda Stewagone, a Honda Accord, a Toyota Crown and a Toyota Alphard – under the guise of spare parts. They brought the foreign cars into a marketable condition, produced fake documents for each car and posted advertisements for sale on a specialized website, but did not indicate that it was a “constructor”. Four cars were sold for 7,080,000 rubles.
Based on the materials of the regional FSB Directorate, a criminal case was opened on four counts of crime under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The accused were given a preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior. During the investigation, they fully compensated the damage caused to the victims.
The investigation has been completed, the materials have been transferred for consideration to the Sovetsky District Court of Krasnoyarsk.
