Former striker Ciprian Marica (40 years old) was invited to the GSP Live Special show and said what is the only hope for the Romanian national team to qualify for the next final tournaments.

After the last failure suffered by the national team, 0-2 in the friendly with Slovakia, Ciprian Marica is of the opinion that the players raised abroad are the only ones who will be able to improve the results of the national team in the future. He gave the example of Andrei Rațiu, Andrei Coubiș and Lorenzo Biliboc.

Ciprian Marica: “Romanians abroad are the only hope”

Romanians who are born abroad are the only hope, that's the reality. If before the football schools promoted young players and we remember what competitions were in the youth and think what is now, yes, the only hope is the children who grow up outside.

There are already 2-3 players coming, Rațiu, who has nothing to do with Romania, Coubiș, Biliboc”, said Ciprian Marica, at GSP Live Special.

Ciprian Marica: “Bosnia plays on an equal footing with Italy and plays football”

The former striker gave an example to Bosnia, which managed to qualify for the World Cup at the expense of Italy.

“Bosnia is playing level with Italy and playing football. That's what upsets us all. When you see that you have this inability to fight with your opponent, something breaks there. You can't connect when you see that. If you fight, you are present, you have energy, you can lose.

We also had our opportunities, our ambition, our pride, and the man would not be angry. But when you see this sad, slow, apathetic, boring game, it's hard to keep people and tell them that things are good and they will be good,” Marica added.
