Israel is not stopping the offensive against Iran. Netanyahu: “We will continue to crush the terrorist regime”

Israel will “continue to crush the terrorist regime” of Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday, saying that the war started more than a month ago by his country attacking Tehran alongside the United States “is not over”, notes AFP.

“The campaign is not over,” he said in a televised address. “We will continue to crush the terrorist regime.”

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Tuesday that Tehran had the “necessary will” to end the ongoing war with Israel and the United States, but demanded guarantees that such a conflict would not be repeated.

At the same time, the Wall Street Journal reported that President Donald Trump told some members of the White House administration that he was willing to end the war with Iran even without reopening the Strait of Hormuz.

In his statement, delivered on the eve of the Jewish holiday of Passover, Netanyahu said: “We had to act and we did.”

“We remained steadfast in our mission and changed the face of the Middle East,” he added, claiming that despite the ongoing war, Israel had become a “regional power.”
