5 tablets per bucket of water – and tomatoes are reliably protected until autumn, a greenhouse without cladosporiosis all season

Cladosporiosis (brown spot) is a familiar problem for those who grow vegetables in greenhouses. However, many summer residents do not attach much importance to this, because they believe that the fungus does not affect the harvest.

In fact, due to the disease, tomato flowers can dry out even before the ovaries have time to form. For this reason, it is important not to miss the first signs of the disease and take action immediately.

How to get rid of cladosporiosis in a greenhouse

A regular drug sold in a pharmacy will help. We are talking about furatsilin – an antimicrobial agent that is successfully used in gardening to combat fungal infections.

What are the benefits of furatsilin

The drug is safe for plants and humans when used correctly. It does not accumulate in the soil and does not require a long wait before planting. Furacilin suppresses the development of fungus on surfaces and in the soil, without disturbing the beneficial microflora.

How to prepare the solution

Take 5 furatsilin tablets and dissolve them in a small amount of water. Pour the prepared solution into a sprayer and add water to a total volume of 5 liters.

Before planting seedlings, thoroughly water the soil with furatsilin solution, as the pathogen can persist in the soil. Also treat the interior walls of the greenhouse to kill fungal spores on surfaces.

This spring treatment creates reliable protection for plants and prevents the development of brown spot throughout the season, reports “A Little Garden at the Edge of the Universe” (18+).
