SGK employees won medals at the Siberian Power Show in Krasnoyarsk

March 31 10:00

From March 27 to 29, the International Festival of Strength Sports was held in Krasnoyarsk. The large-scale event brought together hundreds of participants from different parts of Russia and almost two dozen countries.

Athletes competed in bodybuilding, arm wrestling and extreme power sports. The Siberian Generating Company team took part in one of the most spectacular events – a tug-of-war battle, which took place at the Bobrovy Log fan park.

For energy workers, these competitions became not just a test of physical strength, but a real test of coherence and mutual support. SGC athletes returned from the competition with a solid “harvest” of awards, confirming that real strength is born in unity and hard work.

In the battle of teams of two participants, workers of Krasnoyarsk CHPP-1 Taras Bezrukikh and Igor Kasatkin won a brilliant victory, taking 1st place. The bronze medalists in the tug-of-war in pairs were specialists from SibER JSC Alexander Vysotsky and Maxim Fesenko. In addition, Alexander Vysotsky showed a high class in the personal one-on-one discipline, winning 3rd place.

We are especially proud of the performances of women's and mixed teams. The energy girls and the national team demonstrated true character, winning bronze medals. Both the jury and the audience unanimously praised their well-coordinated work and unbending will to win.

The competition took place in loose snow, which required special skill from the participants. And the competition was crowned with a spectacular detail – if they lost, the athletes would slide into a large snow pit. The energy workers ended up in the pit only once and only for a joint photo.

The high result of the SGC ropers is the result of many years of systematic work to popularize the sport in the team. Several years ago, Alexander Vysotsky, a specialist at SibER JSC, became an enthusiast and ideological inspirer of the team. He not only assembled a team, but also launched regular training sessions. Alexander Anatolyevich Vysotsky, head of the technological connection department at Yenisei TGC, is also on the team of athletes. At the last festival, he won 3rd place in the category of men's pairs with a total weight of up to 400 kilograms, together with Igor Kasatkin. The main achievement of this year was the addition of new names to the team. For Marina Vysotskaya, Elena Bezrukikh and Igor Kasatkin, these competitions became their debut.

“Igor has excellent physical characteristics. He quickly joined the team. At competitions he helped us hold our positions and did not allow our opponents to drag the team down. This is true team spirit, when you feel the shoulder of a comrade,” said the captain of the rope team, Alexander Vysotsky.
