From September 1, all stores in the Krasnoyarsk Territory will have the opportunity to confirm your age when purchasing alcohol, tobacco products and energy drinks using the MAX messenger. This was announced by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the region Maxim Ermakov.

The buyer will have the right to choose whether to present a passport or use the application. Businesses are faced with the task of preparing for the new rules in advance, so that by the time they come into force there are no refusals or delays.

Let us remind you that age verification through MAX was officially allowed on December 29, 2025. By February 2026, more than three thousand stores in the region had connected to the system, from large federal chains to small retail outlets.

When selling an item with an age restriction, the cashier or cashier will ask for confirmation. The buyer creates a one-time QR code in the MAX application in the “Digital Profile” section. After scanning, the data is verified via a secure channel with government information systems, and the cashier receives an instant response. The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the law.
