Dill without umbrellas is not a failure, but a chance: 2 actions – and cut it every week with basins

Which of us does not like to sprinkle the potato with a fresh dill? But what to do if, instead of juicy greenery in the garden, there are only umbrellas? There is a solution! Two simple methods from the “Favorite Dacha” channel on dzen.ru (16+) will help to grow dill with thick and fragrant.

The first secret is top dressing with nitrogen so that greens grow like yeast. If nitrogen in the soil is not enough, dill immediately goes in color. But overkill is also harmful: the plant can “lit”. The ideal option is ammonia. Dilute 1 tsp. on 10 liters of water and spray the leaves a week after the shoots. The main thing is to use the solution immediately, otherwise the nitrogen will disappear. Such top dressing can be repeated every 10 days, and dill will delight with thick foliage.

The second method is ash for strong stems. Dill will not fall if fed it with potassium. Pour 200 g of ash 3 liters of boiling water, let it brew for a day, then dilute up to 10 liters and pour under the root (10 l per 1 sq. M). It is also important to sow dill correctly: to a depth of 1.5 cm in April – May, while the day is short. In summer, a long daylight day provokes umbrellas, and less greens come out.

And now about a pleasant bonus: dill is not only tasty, but also healthy. In dried form, it retains more nutrients than in fresh. So dry part of the crop, and the rest can be frozen in ice molds – it is convenient to throw in soups! Plus, dill reassures: it is enough to inhale its aroma to relieve stress or improve sleep.
