Adrenaline at work, comfort and relaxation at home, in Greenfield. Diana B., pilot: “Time seems to stop here. It's the place where I recharge my batteries”

In a demanding profession with a lot of adrenaline and responsibility, returning home at the end of the day should bring peace and relaxation. Diana B., pilot, 24 years old, lives in such a rhythm. After intense days at work, the place where she finds balance is her home in Greenfield, a neighborhood where she can enjoy being close to the woods, just like she did when she was a child, and where she finds everything she needs to achieve her fitness goals.
In addition to the highly dynamic and focused pilot profession, Diana is preparing for her first fitness competition. That's why her lifestyle involves a lot of discipline and consistency both in terms of training and nutrition.
“It seems to me that I enter another world when I get here”
Diana's schedule starts early in the morning with an empty stomach cardio workout, which is very simple for her to do in the neighborhood.
“Most of the time I go for a light run or a more active walk, through the forest or on the quiet streets nearby. I enjoy the steps I take, the fresh air and the silence – no music, no distractions, just me and nature. These moments are only mine. They give me clarity and balance before the day really begins,” says the young woman, who later leaves for work, ready for a full day, at an alert pace.
In the evening, returning home is her moment of total disconnection.
“It's where I recharge my batteries. It's like I enter another world when I get here,” explains Diana, who has lived alone in Greenfield for over a year.
“I do them all in the neighborhood during the day”
She states that every day she manages to tick off all the goals she sets for herself because she has quick access to any of the facilities in the neighborhood. For her strict training schedule, she chooses the Wellness Club by Greenfield, where “the gym is very well equipped, it's clean, and most importantly, it's not as crowded as a fitness center in the city.”
“I can train at my own pace. And, at the same time, I no longer have to worry about traffic, schedule my departure from home a long time in advance, there is no longer the problem of a parking space. I just left the block, took a few steps and arrived at the gym,” says the young woman.
Another major advantage is that she manages to solve any daily problem close to home, which helps her gain time for herself.

“I find everything I need here, from the cafe, to the family doctor, to the dentist, to beauty services, to the pharmacy. Thus, I manage to focus on what I have to do, not to waste time, to feel that I still have life even after work, that is, that period is not shortened to the maximum by the need to shop, to reach a pharmacy, to go to the doctor. I do everything in the neighborhood during the day and then I succeed to complete my training and to organize my meals for the following days. There are never any unfinished business, thanks to these facilities,” declares Diana.
“I come from a house at the base of the forest and I couldn't have imagined my life between concrete”
Beyond the amenities, it's very important to Diana that she lives close to the forest, where she walks frequently, considering that “it's a luxury to be able to connect with nature.”
“It's something I wouldn't be able to do in the central areas of Bucharest,” she adds, emphasizing that she grew up in the mountains, in a house near the forest.
This area “reminds me a lot of home, because I come from Gura Humorului and it seems to me that my childhood there is projected here, in the neighborhood. There, I have a house right at the base of the forest and I could not have imagined my life here among concrete or constructions. I like that here everything is green, the air is clean and it reminds me of home and my loved ones”, explains Diana.
“Once in a while I prefer to go into the city and meet friends, but in general I like to find peace and quiet and reconnect with myself in this greener area,” she says, adding: “I realized that the traffic and all that crowding is not for me. Time seems to stop here. You can just relax and look out the window at the forest. Things are more settled and it seems to me that it suits me better”.

“A beautiful community that is willing to help you”
Diana decided to buy her own home in Greenfield after renting in the neighborhood and felt safe and supported in the community from the start.
“I had a problem with the power plant. It was very late in the evening, and I didn't know who to call. I called the neighbors and, despite the late hour, no one hesitated to help me, even if it took quite a long time to solve it. Everyone was happy to get me out of that impasse. Then I felt that I was not alone,” says the young woman.
But there was another moment that made her realize that she wanted this place to become “home” for her.
“I realized that I wanted to stay here last summer when I was walking around the neighborhood and I saw, in the park, a family with a small child and a puppy, who were having a picnic. It seemed to me that time actually stands still for them, that there is nothing outside the neighborhood, that there is no more traffic, there is no more disturbance, that it is just them and nature, and I thought that this is how I would like to be one day”, he thought recalls the young woman.

Part of a “beautiful community that's willing to help you, support you, that doesn't judge you,” Diana has also formed some rituals for her days off, when she can take a quiet walk around the neighborhood.
“I really like, as a routine in the morning when it's warmer, to go outside with the cat. I first stop at the cafe and then we walk around the neighborhood. I've never seen a person take the cat out on a leash, to be honest, but everyone goes out with pets, everyone is accepted here,” she emphasizes.
She also likes to shop at the neighborhood stores. He is happy to support small businesses, especially because there he finds products that remind him of Gura Humorului, such as pickles and zacusca.
“For those who want a healthier lifestyle, in this neighborhood they find, I think, exactly the peace and balance they need. If you are a fan of sports, of going out in nature, I don't see a more suitable place,” believes Diana.
