In Krasnoyarsk, 8 out of 12 samples of dumplings are counterfeit

Specialists of Krasnoyarsk Center for Standardization and Metrology conducted independent monitoring of dumplings.

According to the department's press service, for analysis in four retail chains of Krasnoyarsk it was purchased 12 samples of dumplings made in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Kursk, Moscow, Omsk, Leningrad, Kaluga, Vladimir, Tomsk, Novosibirsk regions and the Republic of Khakassia.

The study of selected samples was carried out in the accredited testing center of the Center for Medical Sciences according to physicochemical and microbiological indicators, histological identification of the raw material composition.

“According to the results of monitoring in leaderboard included four samples out of twelve, which fully comply with the mandatory quality and safety requirements: “Bellini Kitchen” (IP Andrievsky V.V., Krasnoyarsk); “Traditional” (LLC “Delicacies of Siberia”, Omsk region); “Bulmeni with beef and pork” (JSC “Meat Gallery”, Vladimir region); “Watercolor” (LLC “MK Aleksandrovsky”, Republic of Khakassia, Abakan),” the department clarified.

Eight samples turned out to be counterfeit. In six cases, manufacturers added unspecified ingredients to the composition: fragments of salivary glands, starch and other components not stated on the label. Pathogenic microorganisms, including salmonella and listeriosis, were also found in five samples.

The department added that the choice of products for monitoring was made for the first time based on the consumer interest of schoolchildren based on the results of a survey conducted by students of the metrology educational cluster.
