The most delicate jellied pie from Gordon's mother-in-law. Just mix eggs, flour and apples

Jellied apple pie is incredibly quick and easy to prepare, but it turns out tender and very tasty. His recipe was shared by the mother-in-law of the Ukrainian journalist, founder of the online publication “GORDON” Dmitry Gordon, culinary YouTube blogger Inna Batsman on March 14 on her channel “Gordon's Mother-in-Law.”

Products

  • 3 eggs;
  • 3 medium apples;
  • 250 g sifted flour;
  • 200 g sugar;
  • 10 g vanilla sugar;
  • 12 g baking powder;
  • 20 g butter for greasing the baking dish.

Preparing apples and molds

  1. Peel and core the apples.
  2. Cut them into very thin strips, not large slices. This is important – thanks to thin slicing, the apples soften during baking and the pie turns out tender, almost like a lazy sponge cake.
  3. Grease a springform baking pan with butter. Distribute the chopped apples evenly over the pan. Do not add sugar or other additives to apples – they should remain natural, slightly sweet and sour.

Preparing the dough

  1. Break the eggs into a bowl and beat lightly with a whisk. Add sugar, vanilla sugar, baking powder and flour.
  2. Mix thoroughly with a whisk so that there are no lumps. The dough should turn out liquid, jellied, approximately like thick sour cream.
  3. Pour the finished dough evenly onto the apples.
  4. Using a spatula or spoon, lightly smooth the surface so that the batter covers the apples.
  5. Preheat oven to 170°C. Place the pan in the oven and bake for 35 minutes.
  6. Rotate the pan periodically during baking (about every 10 minutes) to ensure the cake bakes evenly.
  7. Pierce the cake with a wooden skewer. If it is dry, the pie is ready, but if there is still wet dough on it, you need to finish baking it.
  8. Decorate the pie.

Inna Batsman suggested thinly slicing an apple to decorate the pie, drying the slices in the oven until they turn into chips, and then placing them on the pie in the shape of flower petals. You can place a piece of chocolate in the center and decorate with mint leaves. You can also use powdered sugar for decoration.

The cake is soft, moist, similar to a light sponge cake and low in calories, since it contains almost no fat. At the same time, it cooks quickly – just prepare the ingredients, put the pie in the oven and check its readiness from time to time.
