Zelenogorsk police exposed an Internet canom from Nizhny Novgorod, who deceived Russians worth more than 300,000 rubles. This was told in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the region.

The police found that a 29-year-old man posted on the Internet announcements for the sale of growth costumes for animation. The 37-year-old resident of Zelenogorsk decided to purchase from him a requisite in the form of a laser gun for a suit. The woman believed the verbal description of the goods and transferred 11,550 rubles to the seller. However, the parcel with the goods did not receive the specified address, and the accused spent the payment for personal purposes.

The police opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code “Fraud”. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 5 years. The attacker was detained.

“During the interrogation, a man’s involvement in similar crimes against residents of different regions of the Russian Federation was established, the total amount of damage exceeded 300,000 rubles. Currently, the criminal case with the indictment has been sent to the court to make a legal decision, ”the police said.
