Farul Constanța has published its mandatory financial report for the year 2025 on its official website. The team, until recently patronized by Gheorghe Hagi, records, for the first time, losses of almost 1 million euros. Instead, he can be proud of the largest amounts from sponsorships in the history of Romania's double champion.
Gradually, most of the teams in the Super League make public their financial reports for the past year. If at FC Botoșani, Valeriu Iftime invested money in sponsorships through his own company, and at Craiova the European performance brought 6 million euros to the club, at Farul the situation is completely different.
6.9 million eurosis the amount that Farul reported in 2025 under the “revenues” chapter, according to the official data declared at the Ministry of Finance
The first year with losses for Hagi and Popescu
GSP.RO analyzed the financial documents of the club patronized until recently by Gică Hagi, and for the first time since 2018, the seaside club ends the fiscal year in the red.

By far, 2019 remains the best year from a financial point of view for the people of Constanta, when they reported a profit of almost 1.8 million euros.

The biggest sponsorships in history
A chapter in which the Lighthouse can boast is that of sponsorships. The year 2025 was an excellent one from a financial point of view, with 3.8 million euros entering the accounts.

The reason is clear: investors are particularly attracted by the association of the image with Gică Hagi and Gică Popescu, two of Romania's most famous footballers.
In July 2023, Superbet became the main partner of the team, annually transferring over one million euros to the club's accounts. In addition to the betting house, Farul also has Pepsi, Celco, Auchan and Murfatlar as its main partners.
In total, from 2018 until now, more than 17.5 million euros have entered the club's accountsthe best year being 2023, when the team won the title of Super League champion for the second time.
The play-out meant less money from TV rights
The lighthouse collected almost 1.3 million euros from broadcasting rights. The amount is lower compared to the last three years, when the citizens of Constanta received more than 2 million euros annually.

The best year was 2019, when Hagi's team won the Cup and the Supercup. Almost 2.3 million euros were then collected by the people of Constanta.

Waiting for the new stadium…
One chapter in which Farul has no way of excelling is that of the income from the sale of tickets. The stadium in Ovidiu has only 4,545 seats, and the people of Constanta have to wait at least two more years until they play in the new arena in the city.
Until then, the ticketing chapter gives those in the club a headache: only 337,000 euros collected, less than in 2024, 2023 or 2022.
