The Ministry of Foreign Affairs increases the warning level. He strongly advises against traveling to this island

The official announcement published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the warning level for all travelers to Cuba had been increased. The ministry emphasizes that this decision results from growing problems with access to energy and fuel, which translates into limited possibilities of providing assistance in emergency situations and difficulties in air connections with Europe. Attention was also drawn to the real risk of social unrest on the island.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against all travel to Cuba
In mid-February this year, the ministry recommended refraining from trips to Cuba that were not absolutely necessary, raising the warning level to three. According to current data from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there are approximately 200 Polish citizens in Cuba.
The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Havana declares that it is constantly monitoring the situation and will provide the most important information regarding changes in air connections via the Embassy's social media.
Cuba has been struggling with a growing economic crisis for a long time, which is largely the result of the American embargo on oil imports from Venezuela and pressure from Washington towards other potential suppliers of the raw material. Additionally, the country is still suffering the consequences of Hurricane Melissa, which passed through the island at the turn of October and November 2025.
