On March 27, a regulation entered into force on the temporary limitation of the right to submit an application for international protection at the border with Belarus. The limitation was to apply for 60 days, but it can be extended with the consent of the Sejm. This is what the government is currently asking.

The prime minister, presenting the conclusion of the Council of Ministers on Tuesday, accused PiS that he had now made the main topic in the final of the election campaign from the case of the influx of migrants.

– What our predecessors did: they opened borders, issued a record number of visas, not only record -breaking in the history of Poland, record -breaking on a European scale, earning a lot of money on it so that there was no doubt – said the prime minister. He noted that 11 people have allegations in the process of organizing “this most difficult part of the visa action”.
Foreigners' integration centers. “You prepared it yourself”
Recalling the matter of integration centers of foreigners, the prime minister noticed that it was “a project prepared by the PiS government”. -The first six centers were established during PiS rule. You organized financing in this matter, you boasted of it. […] And then you started what you can do very well – a great campaign to drop responsibility on others for what you have prepared – he assessed.
Tusk, presenting the government's request, reminded that it was about people who go to Poland as a result of smuggling people from Belarus as part of the so -called hybrid wars. He emphasized that only the “hard” position of Poland and the suspension of the right to asylum allowed for effective limitation of this influx.

When calling for further suspension of the right to asylum, he noted that he realized that the right to asylum is an important right. – But not when it is organized by Russia, Belarus, by smugglers, by gangsters and when this migration is not only that illegal, but it has an extremely massive character, In some sense, it is a form of aggression in Poland – said Tusk.
Arkadiusz Sikora (left) pointed out that the right to submit an application for international protection is the right of every person, but cannot be abused. – Lukashenko regime in cooperation with the Russian Federation is waged by a broadly hybrid war, one of which is massive, illegal transfer of citizens of other countries to our territory – Sikora pointed out.
Krzysztof Mulawa (confederation) assessed that the current government has deepened the migration crisis, and Prime Minister Tusk is a “completely unbelievable” person. According to him, however, every healthy -thinking citizen, “also a politician of the Civic Platform” understands that the extension of the temporary suspension of the right to asylum is a reason for the state. According to Witold Tumanowicz (Confederation), the prime minister's speech was a “election sausage”.
The Minister of the Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak, summarizing the debate on the application and answering the questions of MPs, emphasized that the issue of consent to extend the possibility of suspending the right to asylum should not be the subject of a political game, because it concerns Poland's security.
Siemoniak reminded that he serves on the border with Belarus every day 11 thousand officers and soldiers, and the state spent PLN 2.6 billion on the security infrastructure of this border. He added that the temporary suspension of the right to asylum adopted in recent months is now considered exemplary.
Voting on the application for extension of the temporary restriction of asylum is scheduled for Wednesday.
