The tallest cat scratching post in the whole world was built in Ivanovo. Because great and a new world record.
Construction of a huge thrill for cats began on July 17 and was completed two days before International Cat Day, August 6. For understanding, here are the characteristics of the scratching post:
Height – 12.77 meters (this is the size of a three-story residential building);
Base size – 5.6×5.6 meters;
The weight of the entire structure is 5.5 tons.
It all took 53 kilometers of jute (a special fiber that cats sharpen their claws on). The previous world record belonged to China – on August 15, 2018, a 10-meter claw was installed there.
