A spontaneous conflict that broke out in a gas station in the city of Jimbolia, Timiș county, resulted in a knife attack on a 51-year-old man, the incident taking place against the backdrop of alcohol consumption.

According to the Timiș County Police Inspectorate, the event occurred in the morning of March 29, 2026, around 05:00.
“The police of the city of Jimbolia were alerted to the fact that a person had been physically assaulted in a fuel station in the locality. Following the first checks, it was determined that a 30-year-old man caused injuries in the abdomen of a 51-year-old man, using a sharp object, in the context of a spontaneous conflict and alcohol consumption”IPJ Timiș sent.
The victim was picked up by a medical team and transported to the hospital for treatment, and the young assailant was taken to the police station for questioning.
The police have opened a criminal case for hitting and other violence and are investigating to establish the exact circumstances of the incident and the reasons that led to the violent conflict between the two men.
