On the evening of September 4, Ukrainian military sources reported that they received orders to observe a ceasefire from 12:00 AM on September 5 until 11:59 PM on September 8. Reports suggest a deadline of the end of September 7 for this ceasefire. Alexey Goncharenko, a Ukrainian member of parliament from the European Solidarity party, indicated that hostilities on land, in the air, and at sea would cease.
According to an informant for RBC Ukraine, discussions have centered specifically on a ceasefire in the air. This agreement and its temporal and geographical limits were expected to be discussed between US representatives and Russian officials.
