Health, history and safety. The People's Party announces their own bills

The Supreme Council of the Polish People's Party adopted a number of resolutions, including recommending parliamentary bills to the People's Party parliamentary club; one of them concerns how to organize the health service – said Piotr Zgorzelski, head of the PSL Management Board, after the end of Saturday's meeting of the body.

On Saturday morning, the Supreme Council of the PSL, which is the party's highest authority between congresses, met. The topics discussed included: election campaign, analysis of the current political situation and the program congress planned for autumn.

Zgorzelski announced that the People's Party adopted a number of resolutions on Saturday, including a resolution recommending draft laws to the parliamentary club, which will be submitted as PSL parliamentary bills.

– One of them concerns how to organize the health service, and we know that it is in a deep crisis – said the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm.

– We also have adopted draft historical resolutions, the first one regarding the 100th anniversary of the May attack. Our community, which is the heir of Wincenty Witos, is very much involved in celebrating this anniversary because it was a very undemocratic action by Józef Piłsudski against democratic forces and we remember about it – he added.

The second draft resolution – as he informed – concerns the 90th anniversary of the peasant act.

Zgorzelski emphasized that the Supreme Council also expressed its support and appreciation for the president of PSL, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, for submitting the SAFE 0% project by the Party.

The Supreme Council is the highest authority of the PSL between the Congresses. Her competences include, among others: determining the directions of PSL policy and electing and dismissing members of the Supreme Executive Committee. The Council meets at least once a quarter, and its meeting is convened by the chairman, currently the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, Piotr Zgorzelski; Apart from him, Saturday's meeting was also attended by, among others: Deputy Prime Minister, head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz and a number of ministers, parliamentarians and party activists.
