Gas offer for the population from April 1: The largest supplier in Romania returns with a new message to customers, explaining the latest change

The largest supplier of natural gas for the population in Romania, E.ON, returns with a notification to customers – after initially proposing to them, according to the legal obligation from that moment, an offer that provides for an increase from April by more than 9% of the final price – notifying them now, according to the message seen by Profit.ro, that the Government has in the meantime adopted an emergency ordinance of the Government that establishes the method of invoicing natural gas starting from April 1, 2026.

He explains to them that the support scheme for natural gas, established by GEO no. 6/2025, will end on March 31, 2026, and between April 1, 2026 and March 31, 2027, according to GEO no. 12/2026, for the consumption of natural gas, the invoiced price will be the lower value between the contractual price and the final price calculated monthly during the period of application of GEO 12/2026.
