Gordon is a famous Ukrainian journalist, founder of the publication “GORDON”, owner of two YouTube channels “Visiting Gordon” and “Dmitry Gordon”. Collectively, these channels have more than 8 million subscribers. Gordon heads rating of Ukrainian YouTube bloggers covering Russia's war against Ukraine.
After the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the Russian occupiers began to pursue Gordon, brought him to the list of organizations and individuals considered to be involved in extremist activities or terrorism, and to the register of “foreign agents” (he became the first citizen of Ukraine on this list), a criminal case was opened against him, wanted And arrested in absentia.
In 2024, a Russian court found Gordon guilty of calling for a war of aggression, inciting hatred with the threat of violence, calling for the justification of terrorism and spreading “fake news” about the Russian army. His convicted in absentia to 14 years in a maximum security colony.
