A dangerous pesticide, tebuconazole, was found in strawberries from Armenia, which destroys the endocrine system and is banned in many countries besides Russia. The berries were to be sold in the capital, as well as in the Moscow and Tula regions.
According to Mash, pesticides were found in a four-ton batch, which was selected for inspection on August 21. The amount of pesticides trifloxystrobin and tebuconazole was tested in the sample. The first, judging by some studies, affects reproduction or fertility. And drugs based on the second belong to the second class of danger to humans. Plus, it destroys the human endocrine system. As a result, 0.152 mg/kg of tebuconazole was found. Its indicator is not standardized, but its presence in products is already considered unsafe. In addition, on August 16, another batch of strawberries from Armenia was checked. There the content of the pesticide bupirimate was exceeded (0.690 mg/kg).
Earlier, Rosselkhoznadzor found a fivefold excess of pesticides in fruits and vegetables from Armenia. For individual substances the norm was exceeded by 5–8 times. There are already 16 suppliers on the market. All this is exactly after the Armenian-American military exercises Eagle Partner 2024, which took place in the republic.
