Verstappen, unhappy with the Red Bull car: “We have problems, it's uncontrollable”

Former world champion Max Verstappen missed qualifying in the second part of the session for the second time since the start of the season. The Dutchman criticized the single-seater in Japan.

The Red Bull driver finished 11th at Suzuka, fighting until the last moment, but Isack Hadjar and Arvid Lindblad knocked him out of the top 10 with their final fast laps in the second part of qualifying for the German Grand Prix.

Verstappen expressed his dissatisfaction with the cornering system of the Red Bull single-seater, which he considers unsuitable for the circuit in Japan.

What Max Verstappen said after qualifying in Japan

“Our car doesn't steer well and here we also have serious oversteer going into the corners. That makes everything very difficult, our car is unpredictable.

I thought in the third practice session we limited the other problem – the understeer, but in qualifying the car was uncontrollable again, so that's something we have to look at.

This weekend I'm racing a different aero package, but it doesn't seem to be working as it should. We have problems that I can't explain here.

We know what's wrong, sometimes we simply perform worse and I think in qualifying I reached the point where my car became uncontrollable,” said Verstappen after qualifying, according to sportal.bg.
