In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, from March 23 to 26, police, together with other departments, carried out regular checks to identify the illegal stay of foreign citizens in the region.

The press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region clarified that, based on the results of inspections, 117 administrative offenses in the field of migration were identified and suppressed. 21 migrants were subject to administrative expulsion and deportation. Another 83 persons who violated migration rules had their temporary stay periods reduced.

105 decisions were made not allowing foreign citizens to enter Russia. In addition, 52 criminal cases have been opened regarding the organization of illegal migration, fictitious registration and migration registration of foreign citizens.

A 48-year-old migrant who was illegally staying in the country, who used fake documents and was on the federal wanted list, was also identified. The police brought him to justice as established by law. He is currently placed in the Temporary Detention Center for Foreign Citizens.
