Another 3.5 billion UAH will be allocated to the regions for the construction of protective structures for distribution substations, transformers, gas distribution stations and other critical infrastructure facilities. Also, 528 million are intended for Ukrzaliznytsya to strengthen the protection of its facilities.
“245 critical infrastructure facilities in non-frontline regions will be protected in preparation for next winter,” she wrote.
According to the prime minister, the allocated funds will cover 30% of the need for financing certain facilities and part of the debt for work already begun.
Sviridenko explained that these funds are the second tranche of financing “resilience plans.” On March 20, the government allocated 12.85 billion UAH to front-line regions for the first work to prepare for next winter. The funds were allocated to 209 critical infrastructure facilities in the front-line regions and the Kyiv region. Priority work has already begun there, she added.
