Huti regularly attack Israel with rockets and drones since the outbreak of war in the Gaza Strip in the autumn of 2023. They declare that they support Palestinian Hamas in this way. Most of the missiles have been shot down so far and did not cause losses or victims.

Israel conducted a series of retaliation raids for Huti in Yemeni, attacking, among others airports, ports, military and petrochemical installations. At the end of August, the prime minister of Huti Ahmed al-Rahavi and several ministers died at the end of August.

The American Organization Committee Defense of Journalists (CPJ) has reported that he is still investigating the deaths of Yemeni journalists, but has difficulty verifying these reports on the spot.

The controlling large part of Yemeni Huti are a side of the civil war in this country, which has been going on since 2014. The group belongs to the grid supported by Iran of militias, which combines hostility to the USA and Israel.
