Hackers from the Iran-linked Handala group announced on Friday that they had broken into the private email address of FBI Director Kash Patel, publishing his photos and materials. A representative of the US Ministry of Justice confirmed the incident to Reuters.

The hackers posted a number of private photos of Patel and his old CV on their Telegram channel and website.
“Kash Patel, the current head of the FBI, who once proudly saw his name on the agency's home page, will now find it among the list of victims whose systems were successfully hacked,” wrote on Telegram.
As reported by Reuters, an official of the US Ministry of Justice confirmed that the private e-mail of the head of the FBI had been hacked and said that the published materials looked authentic.
This is yet another cyber attack by the same group that began its activities during the war in the Gaza Strip. In March, it also carried out a serious hack into the systems of the medical equipment manufacturer Stryker, which caused disruptions in the functioning of hospitals. The group also claimed to have committed a cyber attack on the Lockheed Martin defense company, but the company did not confirm the breach of its systems.
The US Department of Justice blocked the group's domain and several websites last week.
