In the second quarter of 2025, there was an improvement in the economic situation in construction in Poland – according to the study of the SGH Economic Development Institute.

In the second quarter of 2025, the economic situation in IRG SGH (IRGCON) construction is positive, equal to 11.1 points, higher by 10.8 points. from the value from the previous quarter, but lower by 0.9 points. on the value from the second quarter of 2024.

The positive value of the indicator was recorded for the private sector (9.2 points) and for public (26.5 points). Compared to the second quarter of 2024, the value of the indicator for the private sector increased by 0.3 points, and for the public sector it fell by 13 points.

“With the start of the spring-summer season, the level of construction and assembly production increased on a quarter scale by 32.2 points to the level of 13 points, orders by 20.5 points to a height of 13.9 points and the use of production capacity by 10.1 points to the level of 2.4 points” – the study was written.

Construction companies have increased employment and investments.

Their financial situation improved.

The authors of the study state that while construction plants assess a slightly better general economic situation, the assessments of the situation in the construction industry have deteriorated.

Study participants expect to improve the situation in both construction and the entire economy in the next quarter.

The surveyed plants recognize tax burdens as the most burdensome barriers to construction activities.

As the main barriers, the study participants also mentioned: unstable law and prices of raw materials and materials. (PAP Biznes)
