In honor of Theater Day on March 27, the main clock of Krasnoyarsk will change its tune.
A fragment of “Fly Away” from Alexander Borodin’s opera “Prince Igor” will be performed on Theater Square, performed by the leading soloist of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theater Alexandra Cherpakova. The press service of the theater said that you can hear an excerpt from the opera at 9:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00 and 21:00.
Music from opera and ballet performances on this day can be heard in many places: at 10:00 the soloists of the opera troupe will perform in the arrivals area of the Dmitry Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk International Airport. The artists will perform arias and duets from the operas “Lakmé” by Leo Delibes, “Carmen” by Georges Bizet, and “The Marriage of Figaro” by Mozart.
Audio congratulations from leading opera and ballet soloists will also be heard in schools, the Vasily Surikov Art School, the Planet shopping center, the Roev Ruchey flora and fauna park, on Tatyshev Island, key city enterprises and Krasgorpark facilities. In addition, from March 23 to March 31, musical accompaniment will brighten the lives of passengers on bus routes No. 30, 37, 52, 55, 56 and trolleybus No. 6.
“For us, World Theater Day is not just a professional holiday, but an opportunity to break the stereotype that opera is an art exclusively limited to the stage and auditorium.
