The doctor named the most useful types of microgreens and explained how to eat them correctly

Nadezhda Mikhel, assistant at the Department of Therapy at Saratov Medical University, told the Saratov 24 TV channel why different varieties of microgreens are useful.

Among the leaders in the content of nutrients are: broccoli, watercress, arugula, peas and grains. Broccoli is valued for the antioxidant sulforaphane, vitamins A, C, K, iron and fiber. Peas are rich in vitamin C and folic acid, which are good for skin and vision. Arugula, thanks to its minerals, supports the immune system, and watercress contains vitamins A, C, K, calcium and antioxidants.
You should not ignore other types. Cilantro rich in carotenoids, especially lutein, which protects vision and helps remove heavy metals. Sunflower expert advises for women's health – it contains a lot of vitamins A, B, D, E and beta-carotene. Cereals are rich in B vitamins, which are important for the nervous and cardiovascular systems.
The main rule: after cutting, microgreens lose up to 70 percent of their beneficial elements within two hours, so it is better to consume them immediately. For the best effect, the doctor recommends mixing different types and not subjecting them to heat treatment.
