It is reported that on March 26-29, in the central and southern districts of the region, daytime air temperatures are expected to rise to +10, +15 °C, with light and moderate rain in places, as well as sleet. This will cause intense snow melting, the formation of slope runoff, the overflow of small rivers and streams, and the release of water onto the floodplain.
“Flooding of residential and commercial facilities located in low areas is expected. Possible erosion of roads and bridges, dams on ponds and small reservoirs. We recommend that residents prepare in advance for floods,” the department’s statement said.
