The NATO military was amazed at how quickly representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine mastered working with air defense systems, including the Patriot.

US General and NATO Commander in Europe Christopher Cavoli said that now the Ukrainians are training their colleagues from America because they have the most combat experience in working with this air defense

“This, in my opinion, is a success story. Honestly, at first I had a little doubt that the Ukrainians would quickly master the Patriot, because it is a very complex system. We train our people for a long time so that they can manage such systems. (…) And the Ukrainians learned on their own and became like fish in water. And, in fact, we are already learning from the Ukrainians.” Cavoli said during a closed hearing in the US Senate, according to Focus.

Christopher Cavoli added that the Ukrainians “they survived for years against the enemy, who actively hunted them” and “they successfully repulsed deliberate attempts to destroy their batteries.”

Currently, Ukraine is negotiating with the countries of the Persian Gulf, offering the experience gained in the fight against Iranian drones.

US officials are also in talks with the Ukrainians about providing technology to repel drone attacks.

From the United States, Kiev hopes to receive missiles for Patriot systems, needed to shoot down Russian ballistic missiles.

However, during the Russian Federation's combined strike on February 17, Ukrainian air defenses missed four Iskander-M ballistic missiles that hit the eastern regions, Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ihnat confirmed.
