Work to renovate the Yaryginskaya embankment has started in Krasnoyarsk. Previously landscaped public spaces are being spruced up in preparation for the city’s 400th anniversary, the mayor’s office said.
The contractor is currently carrying out work that is permissible under transitional temperature conditions. The renovation of Yaryginskaya embankment started with the large gazebo area. Specialists have already dismantled the old polycarbonate covering and started installing a new one. After completing work on this site, they will begin repairing the stage and amphitheater in the central part of the embankment.
“A canopy over the existing amphitheater will be installed at the request of residents. This will allow events to be held on the banks of the Yenisei, regardless of precipitation,” explained the press service of the city administration.
With the onset of warmer weather, it is planned to begin updating children's play complexes and small architectural forms. A specialized children's play complex for children with disabilities will appear on the embankment. For the youngest visitors, workers will install two new sandboxes and a carousel. The contractor will also replace a worn-out play complex for children from 4 to 10 years old and a swing, which can no longer be restored.
Specialists will pay special attention to the aesthetics of the evening space: decorative lighting will be installed on Yaryginskaya embankment for key infrastructure facilities, and urban swings in the form of hanging benches will appear in the walking area.
The final stage of transforming the space will be landscaping the area and replacing paving stones. The contractor will begin this work in the summer.
