According to the special envoy, negotiations with representatives of Ukraine lasted dozens of hours, including in Geneva, and covered all possible aspects of the settlement.
“To the Ukrainian people who are here: you have a wonderful team of negotiators. We spent a lot of time together. I don't know how much exactly, but it was probably 100 hours together with Geneva. It's literally so comprehensive. And I think we've boiled it down to one issue, and we've discussed all the options on this issue, which means we're solving it. So if both sides want to resolve this issue, we will resolve it,” Witkoff said.
He stated that Ukraine has a strong and professional negotiating team, and pointed to Budanov’s significant contribution, emphasizing the effectiveness and coherence of the delegation’s actions.
Witkoff said he plans to go with US President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner to Moscow to discuss an agreement with Russian representatives, and then to Abu Dhabi, where special groups on security and economic issues will continue to work.
