The belt of Sighisoara enters the execution phase, after DRDP Brașov issued the order to start the works. The project involves complex arrangements and should be ready in 31 months.

The Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges (DRDP) Brașov announced on Wednesday, March 25, that next week the works will begin on the Sighișoara Ring Road, a strategic road of over 13 kilometers, with one lane each way, intended to decongest traffic through the municipality.
The project involves extensive works to consolidate and reinforce the land, taking into account the hilly relief and the large differences in level of the area, but also hydrotechnical facilities, the collection and evacuation of rainwater, as well as the construction of two parking lots at the ends of the route.

The value of the works authorized to date exceeds 259 million lei, excluding VAT, and the estimated duration for execution is 31 months, with a guarantee period of 60 months.
“Works are starting on the Sighisoara Bypass! DRDP Brașov has issued the start order for the actual works on the construction site, which will start at the beginning of next week”, DRDP Brașov sent on Facebook.
The belt of Sighisoara will separate from DN13, in the eastern part of the municipality, near the town of Albești, and will head to the northeast, re-entering DN13 near the town of Hetiur. On the route, the works will include major constructions:
* at km 0+423, in the Albești area, a passage of 75.87 meters will be built to cross the railway and the DN13 national road;
* at km 1+870, the crossing of the Târnava Mare river and the Satulu stream will be made through a 126.40 meter bridge;
* at km 12+760, before the intersection with DN13, the road will cross a deep valley without a watercourse through a viaduct with six spans, 161.12 meters long.
The execution works will be carried out by the association SC Clean Prest Activ SRL – SC T Dancor Romconsruct SRL – ILCI, together with Insaat Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS and SC Proiect – Construct Regiunea Transilvania SRL
