Teenagers convicted of damaging lamps in the center of Minusinsk

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Minusinsk City Court issued a guilty verdict in a criminal case against two minors who damaged 10 lanterns on the Kretov Alley.

The police established that during a walk, boys aged 15 and 16, acting as a group of people, broke the lanterns out of hooligan motives. By their actions, they caused significant material damage to the city administration amounting to more than 112 thousand rubles.

A criminal case was initiated and investigated against the attackers under Part 2 of Art. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Intentional destruction or damage to property.” The teenagers admitted their guilt in full for the crime they were charged with.

“By decision of the Minusinsk City Court, a compulsory measure of educational influence will be applied to a 16-year-old teenager in the form of a referral to a special closed educational institution for the period until he reaches adulthood. In the meantime, the young man will be placed in the TsVSNP of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. A 15-year-old boy has been placed under the supervision of his mother; he will be subject to leisure restrictions in the form of a ban on staying outside his permanent place of residence between 10:00 pm and 06:00 am without a legal representative. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force,” the police said.
