Taste, like in France – I cook crispy croissants without frost: like a sweet cloud in the tongue – even without filling

When in the morning I want something truly tasty, there is nothing better than freshly baked croissants. Their preparation may seem long, but in fact, most of the time the dough simply rests in the refrigerator. But when you try the first piece of hot buns with a cup of coffee, you will understand that for the sake of such a taste you can wait.

The main thing is not a step away from the recipe:

Ingredients

  • 500 g of senior flour
  • 300 g butter
  • 10 g of dry yeast
  • 50 g of sugar
  • 250 ml of milk
  • 1 chicken egg
  • A pinch of salt

Cooking

1. Mix flour, yeast, sugar and salt. Pour warm milk and knead the elastic dough.

2. Cover with a towel and leave for an hour in a warm place. Distribute chilled oil between parchment sheets.

3. Wrap the oil with dough, gently chopping the edges. Roll into a long rectangle, fold three times and take it into the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Repeat the procedure 2 more times.

4. Roll out the dough into a layer of 5 mm thick, cut the triangles. Turn the croissants starting from the wide side.

5. Lubricate with a beaten egg and let it brew for 40 minutes. Bake at 200 ° C 15-20 minutes to rosy color.

These croissants are good even without filling. Their puff texture and natural creamy taste do not require additions. Fresh, only from the oven, they resemble Parisian bakery, where the main thing is not the filling, but the skill of the baker and the quality of the dough.
