Deputy Commander of the Leningrad Military District Valery Mumindzhanov was detained. He received a bribe of more than 20 million rubles.
According to the Investigative Committee, when he held the position of head of the Department of Resource Support of the Ministry of Defense, he was responsible for the clothing supply of the Russian Armed Forces and received a multi-million dollar bribe so that the company would take away a state defense order worth 1.5 billion rubles.
Law enforcement officers found out that Muminjanov and his family own real estate in Moscow and Voronezh worth a total of more than 120 million rubles. The legality of their acquisition is currently being verified.
