The accident occurred on March 24 in the afternoon at an unregulated pedestrian crossing near the school on Koltsevaya Street. The child was crossing the road and was hit by a Lada car driven by a 66-year-old man.
The boy fell from the blow, but was able to get up on his own.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was given the necessary medical care and prescribed treatment at home.
The traffic police reported that this year in Krasnoyarsk there have already been 6 collisions with children at pedestrian crossings and, due to the depressing statistics, they turned to adults:
“Parents, this is your responsibility! Teach children: they cross the road on foot, and do not run, like on a playground. Put it in their heads: never go out on the road without making sure that you are seen and let through. Control: don’t expect that “he will understand.” Explain, show, remind, in the end, be the right example for the child! Drivers, take control, and don’t just “turn the steering wheel.” The road next to the school is not a race track. A pedestrian crossing is a high-risk area, especially when there may be children there. Slow down, be prepared for the worst. Your inattention may result in someone else’s tragedy.”
