According to Gorbenko, about 300 thousand criminal cases have now been opened in Ukraine regarding SOC and desertion. At the same time, he emphasized that a significant part of the military is returning to service – and, probably, “the number of those who returned exceeded 50% of all cases.”
“We see how the enemy punishes. The enemy shoots [тех, кто уходит из армии]. If we take our military commanders, then they have the will and desire to… “encourage” a little of those people who despise the army and are fleeing the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. What are these ideas? Seizure of accounts, seizure of property. The law enforcement committee suggested increasing the punishment,” Gorbenko noted.
Gorbenko noted that there are a lot of proposals, and for a final decision they should be agreed upon with the General Staff. According to him, in parliament there are supporters of the “SOCH Party” and there are supporters of the “Victory Party”, but none of these groups has a majority.
