In Krasnoyarsk, future fighters of the Air Force are trained at UAV operator courses

March 24 17:40

In the Krasnoyarsk youth center “ProTechno”, during the two months of the UAV operator course, seven people signed a contract and went to the special military operation zone. Another seven are currently undergoing medical examination and testing.

Classes at the center are held in two formats: for students and adults planning to serve in the armed forces of the Russian Federation. College and technical school students, under the guidance of experienced mentors, study engineering fundamentals and practice piloting drones in small groups of no more than 10 people. Simulators and real drones help them. Future SVO soldiers are also trained to work on modern technological equipment.

Such a system makes it possible to simultaneously solve the problems of patriotic education of youth and training personnel to perform tasks in the zone of a special military operation.

“Young guys spend a lot of time practicing – developing their vestibular apparatus, learning to pilot. We also give them a basic understanding of how to use quadcopters. One lesson takes about an hour and a half. For adults we have a special program with a serious load. They study the tactical and technical features of drones and practice complex flight scenarios. All this requires a lot of time, so we set aside three hours for the lesson,” explained Artem Lankin, deputy director of the ProTechno youth center.

UAV operator courses are very popular among Krasnoyarsk residents; more than 130 students and about 20 adult students have already completed classes at the youth center. In addition to knowledge and practical skills, the townspeople gained experience communicating with real participants in a special military operation. For example, quite recently, an air defense fighter and drone operator with the call sign Takmak gave a lesson in courage at ProTechno.

“UAVs have long become an integral part of modern reality. Today this includes cargo delivery, reconnaissance, and even strike missions. Technologies are constantly developing, not only with us, but also with the enemy, so it is important to train new specialists and train young people. I am very glad that there is a center in Krasnoyarsk that solves all these issues. I personally know the manager and know how everything works here. Really valuable information is conveyed to the guys,” the serviceman emphasized.

Among the students of the ProTechno center there are their own developers and designers. Medical student Alexander Eremeev is creating aircraft-type drones according to technical specifications and taking into account feedback from fighters. He is working to reduce the cost of production and increase the efficiency of models.

“I have been interested in airplanes and devices since I was about 10 years old. I did everything I could, assembling small models, working on racing drones… Now I’m planning to assemble a three-axis CNC machine with a large working area, including height. I will be making master models for future aircraft-type drones, molds for pouring, and much more. The machine will allow processing materials such as plastic, wood and aluminum,” Alexander shared his plans for the future.

We would like to add that open classes on UAV control at ProTechno are held daily from 9:00 to 18:00. Courses for those wishing to enter the contract service – on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 18:00 to 21:00. The center is located at: Alyosha Timoshenkov Street, 87a, details can be found by calling: +7 (391) 226-41-90.

Troops of unmanned systems are of particular importance today. The contract counts towards military service. It lasts 1 year, the transfer of such fighters to attack aircraft or tank crews is prohibited, you can earn from 6 million rubles.
