In the capital of Albania, Tirana, there was a violent escalation of protests against Prime Minister Edi Rama. Demonstrators gathered in front of the government headquarters, demanding his resignation over corruption allegations. Some protesters threw Molotov cocktails and gasoline bottles at government buildings.

The Christian Democrat CDU won Sunday's elections in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, obtaining 31 percent. votes – according to official results. Second place was taken by the social democratic SPD with 25.9 percent. The right-wing populist Alternative for Germany (AfD) came third with support of 19.5%.
Prime Minister Robert Golob's Freedom Movement won 28.54 percent in Sunday's parliamentary elections in Slovenia. votes. The Slovenian Democratic Party of former Prime Minister Janez Jansza, in turn, obtained 28.17 percent. support.
