Traffic restrictions in Bucharest for the “Legal Half-Marathon 2026”. Where it is not possible to drive

The “Legal Half – Marathon 2026” marathon takes place today, March 22, between 07:00 and 14:00. On this occasion, a series of traffic restrictions are imposed in the center of the Capital, the Bucharest Road Brigade announces.
The race schedule is as follows:
Between 07:00-13:45 the “Semimarathon 21 km” races will take place; “4×5.25 km Relay Half Marathon”: “10 km Race” and “3 km Race”. They will take place on the following route:
- START from Bd. Unirii (Bucharest Court) – Piața Unirii – turn 180 degrees (without affecting the traffic at the intersection) – Bd. Unirii – National Library – Bd. Mircea Vodă – turn Pasaj Mărășești – Bd. Unirii – Piața Alba Iulia – Bd. Decebal – Str. Delea Nouă – return to Bd. Decebal – FINISH Bucharest Court.
Between 12:00-13:00 the “Children's Race” will take place. The route will be: Bd. Unirii, the road segment between Piața Unirii and Str. Trajan. Between 13:00 and 14:00 the awards ceremony will take place in front of the Bucharest Court.
For the smooth running of the event, traffic restrictions will be established starting at 07:00, on the route mentioned above and on the streets that access it.
Detour routes
Drivers in the capital also have a series of detour routes that they can use during the restrictions.
- Calea 13 Septembrie – Bd. Tudor Vladimirescu – Piața George Coșbuc – Bd. Regina Maria – Splaiul Unirii;
- Bd. Basarabia – Calea Călărașilor – Bd. Corneliu Coposu – Splaiul
Independence; - Bd. Unirii – Bd. Dimitrie Cantemir – Bd. Mărășești – Bd. Octavian Goga – Calea Dudești – Bd. Camil Ressu.
