Tel Aviv air alert. At least 15 people injured in an Iranian attack in central Israel

Sirens began to sound Sunday morning in central Israel following a ballistic missile attack by Iran. The alert targeted Tel Aviv in particular and areas in the north and east of the city, Israeli media reports.

On Sunday, 15 people were injured in rocket attacks from Iran that hit several locations in central Israel, including Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan and Petah Tikva, emergency officials said, according to Ynetnews.

Magen David Adom stated that 15 people were evacuated from the impact sites throughout the region.

In Tel Aviv, damage was reported near Habima Square, where images showed debris and destroyed structures. A vehicle was also hit in the town. In Ramat Gan, more damage was reported.

In Petah Tikva, emergency teams searched four different impact sites. No casualties were reported, although buildings sustained damage.

Earlier, air raid sirens sounded throughout the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, the Sharon region and parts of the West Bank after rocket launches into Israel were detected. Loud explosions were heard in central Israel.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that a cluster missile had been fired from Iran, marking a new use of a munition that disperses multiple warheads.

Authorities urged the public to follow Home Front Command instructions and avoid the impact areas to allow emergency personnel to respond.
